Students in Stamford receive high school diplomas through summer program

STAMFORD -

A group of high school seniors have received their diplomas Thursday after meeting graduation requirements through Stamford's summer school program.

In total, 55 students from Stamford High School and West Hill High School received their diplomas.

The opportunity to enroll in the summer school program was presented to students who did not meet the graduation criteria at the end of the school calendar year in June.

School officials hope the event inspires students to move on and prosper in the city's community.
