Westport police say several residents have seen what appeared to be sick coyotes laying in their yards.

Officers say they may have parasites that affect their skin, causing legions.

They say that won't make them more aggressive or affect behavior, but they may be in sunny areas more because it brings relief to their skin.

Police say to be sure to keep your distance and keep an eye on pets.
