Connecticut police prepare for National Night Out

Law enforcement officers across western Connecticut spent Tuesday preparing for National Night Out.

Held the first Tuesday in August, the goal is to work toward creating safer neighborhoods by meeting with community members.

The Norwalk Police Department was among the dozens of departments that take part each year.

The department offered food, games and music outside police headquarters.
