Some Bridgeport children are saying thank you to the Sheehan Center for their first experience in a sailboat.
Twenty children ages 8 and 18 received a free two-week boating camp trip held at Captain's Cove.
Harry Bell, founder of Color a Positive Thought, says the goal of the program is to encourage kids to do their best and take pride in their communities.
"The faces are priceless, the smiles," says Bell. "Sometimes it's crazy because, in the beginning, the nervousness, and then seeing them get out there and face their nervousness and enjoy it -- it's remarkable."
