CT voter registration deadline passes

NORWALK -

Noon Monday marked the deadline to register as a voter or affiliate with a party ahead of Tuesday's primary elections in Connecticut.

The majority of people who spoke with News 12 at Norwalk City Hall say they were already registered to vote but needed to affiliate with a party because Connecticut's primaries are closed.

Others had moved and needed to update their address to find their new polling location.

Officials say they hope this year's gubernatorial race brings out more people to vote.

On Tuesday, polls in the state's primary elections are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For more information, the Norwalk Registrar of Voter's Office can be reached at 203-854-7996.
