Funeral services held for slain East Orange teacher

Funeral services were held for the beloved teacher shot and killed in East Orange earlier this month.
Investigators are still looking for the person who gunned down Kofi Owens around 1 a.m. on Aug. 3.
He was killed while sitting inside his car.
Owens' 25-year-old son was also shot, but survived.
Witnesses say Owen was mentoring a student on 16th Street where the shooting took place.
The 45-year-old was a teacher at the STEM Academy and had taught in the East Orange school district since 2006.
He started a computer coding program and was recognized by the school for students getting high scores on the Achieve 3000 test in 2015.
Among the mourners were Owens' wife and two children.
Anyone with information on Owens' death is urged to contact the Essex County Crime Stoppers, who are offering a $10,000 reward.
