World War II-era grenade found in Bridgeport backyard

A World War II-era hand grenade was found buried in a backyard in Bridgeport.
A contractor came across it as he was working at the home on Cornell Street.
The state police bomb squad unit cleared the grenade and detonated it at Ninety Acres Park as a precaution.
It turned out be solid metal and wasn't live, so there was no danger to the public.
