The Watchung Reservation has opened its first sensory-friendly trail for people with special needs.
The trail is the first of its kind and includes interpretive signage and two talking kiosks.
“When people with special needs come to this trail along with their families, they're going to be able to see spin-wheels, hear some musical instruments,” says Union County Freeholder Board Chairman Sergio Granados.
The trail is free and open to the public. Children with special needs also have their own summer camp.
