St. Matthew Church's carnival kicked off Wednesday night in Norwalk.

The event at the church on Scribner Avenue features rides, a Ferris wheel, games, food and music.

Over 250 volunteers are helping run the event.

One volunteer say it’s all about having a family friendly community event and bringing everyone together.

The carnival runs Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
