A fire Wednesday afternoon at a condo complex on Success Avenue in Stratford displaced dozens of people.
The fire marshal says he believes the fire started near a deck on the first floor, and then spread to a nearby propane tank around 4 p.m.
He also says that this caused the fire to spread up to the roof.
The fire marshal says some people evacuated before crews got there -- others they told to get out -- and one person needed to be rescued.
Several pets were also rescued. News 12 was told one cat died and that other pets are missing.
Three people and a firefighter were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and are expected be OK.
The Red Cross is helping a number of people displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
