Dog abandoned in Greenwich thriving after adoption

A dog found abandoned in a Greenwich park is now thriving after being adopted by a police officer.
"Henry," a 2-year-old mastiff, is getting a second chance thanks to Greenwich Officer Pat O'Connor.
Henry was found in Bruce Park earlier this summer. Police say he showed signs of abuse, cowering and shaking at the presence of people. He was brought to Greenwich Animal Control, where O'Connor says he "immediately fell in love with" Henry. For weeks, O'Connor went to the shelter to spend time with Henry, eventually adopting him.
Police launched an investigation into Henry's former owner, 23-year-old Christian Dilworth, who faces several charges that include animal cruelty.
Henry has gained some celebrity status in Greenwich. He's beloved by the police department and is known throughout town.
