Community member can still spend time outdoors and shop for locally grown food at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center through September.
The farmers market is open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and admission is free.
New vendors were added this year and they offer everything from gluten-free cookies to corn and tomatoes. The nature center is also selling its own farm-fresh eggs, wool and maple syrup.
Organizers say the customer’s dollar stretches further when shopping local and that it's important to support local businesses while also having a better sense of where your food is coming from.
The market will remain open until Sept. 30.
