A Bridgeport-based sculptor is proving that one person's trash is truly another's treasure.
Daniel Lanzilotta specializes in colorful, abstract sculptures, using as his medium plastic debris and litter he finds on what he calls "garbage walks."
Lanzilotta says his pieces are a great way to start a conversation about the amount of plastic humans consume.
His sculptures will be on display Sept. 14 at Bridgeport's Discovery Museum. The exhibition starts at 6:30 p.m.
