Rain, flooding hit Greenwich hard

Posted: Updated:
GREENWICH -

Some of Tuesday's heaviest rain fell in Greenwich just in time for the evening commute.

At Binney Park, trees poked out above the water and benches were submerged.

Flooding in the Old Greenwich area made several roads impassable. Police had to close Harding Road to all travel.

Officials said they were closely watching water levels on Sound Beach Road.
