STAMFORD -

A 2-year-old Stamford boy has died a day after police say a large TV fell on his head.

First responders rushed to the Frederick Street home Thursday morning when the child's mother called 911. She told officials that her son was not breathing after a television fell on him.

Police say they found the child in his mother's arms suffering from a traumatic head injury.

The boy was taken to Stamford Hospital and was then immediately flown to Yale New Haven Children's Hospital where he died from his injuries.
