With just a spoon and score sheet, thousands held the power to judge New England's best chowder.
The 11th annual Chowdafest was held over the weekend at Sherwood Island Park in Westport.
Attendees got the opportunity to try several different types of chowder.
The event also supports a great cause.  Chowdafest is committed to alleviating hunger by partnering with the non-profit, Food Rescue Us.
Founder Jim Keenan says collectively they have raised enough to fund 2 million meals, but last year was a half-million by itself.
"So every year we get a little smarter about doing this,” says Keenan.  “More people hear about it, they keep coming, so it grows exponentially and that includes the donation department."
This year, they hope to raise even more money to beat the half a million meals they funded last year.
