NORWALK -

Much of Connecticut saw very heavy rain and damaging winds Tuesday night.

Several roads were blocked off on Wednesday due to downed trees and power lines in Norwalk. Scribner Avenue is still blocked off as crews continue to work on power lines.

One resident on Scribner Avenue, Liliya Glusker, said the commute home from work was frightening.

"Everywhere was closed because the flood," said Glusker. "I thought it was coming to my car."

Glusker said her power came back on at 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Residents were under a tornado warning for a short period of time before it was downgraded to a severe thunderstorm warning.
