Police: Trubmull student hit by car at bus stop

Trumbull police are investigating a bus-stop accident that sent a 9-year-old to the hospital.

It happened near the corner of Main and Pinehurst streets Wednesday night.

Police say the student from the Middlebrook School ran into the road to catch her bus when she was hit by a car.

The car had driven around a city bus also picking up passengers.

The girl was treated for a leg injury, but is expected to be OK.

No charges have currently been filed.
