Connecticut Secretary of State Denise Merrill is warning voters about a potential scam involving fake voter registration phone calls.
The calls claim to be from TurboVote, which is described by Merrill as a Republican voter registration organization.
TurboVote has confirmed it is not the entity that is actually making the phone calls.
The calls ask to register voters over the phone to arrange for an absentee ballot.
