STRATFORD -

Animal lovers gathered in Stratford to support their furry friends.

The Stratford Animal Rescue Society held its 13th annual "Dog Walk Festival" on the Paradise Green.

STARS is a non-profit whose mission is to facilitate and expedite the adoptions of homeless animals into loving homes.

The event is the organization's main fundraiser.

"The folks in our community are so generous, it helps fund our program and our mission, which is to get all of our animals at our Stratford facility adopted out," said Karen Tracy, president of STARS.

The event featured over 100 vendors for both people and pets.
