High school students in Stamford got a firsthand look at police work from some four-legged officers.
K-9 officers visited the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering Thursday.
The dogs visited a forensics class for an up-close look into what they can do.
The three K-9s showed off their skills at taking down suspects, sniffing for drugs and bombs and tracking missing people.
Teacher Kimberly Smith says the presentation was a great chance to bring the community to her students and make what they are learning more real.
