Brooklyn hospital celebrates Organ Donor Enrollment Day

A Brooklyn hospital kicked off Organ Donor Enrollment Day with special guests who have firsthand experience with the gift of organ donation.
It was the third-annual Organ Donor Enrollment Day at NYU Langone Hospital. Staff says only 32 percent of New York residents are registered donors.
But hospital employees say making the switch to becoming a donor is as easy as filling out a form.
Becoming a donor could turn a tragic event into saving a life. Bryan Trinidad, 27, was killed in Sunset Park during a fight at work. Members of Trinidad's family talked about how his organs went to three people in need.
His family says keeping his legacy alive through organ donation has become an important cause to them.
