Police in Litchfield County say a child reported being approached by a stranger at a bus stop on Thursday.
Watertown police say the 11-year-old told them that his bus had dropped him around 2:50 p.m. on Tucker Avenue near French Street when a man in a white car drove up.
The boy reported that the man then asked if he needed a ride and to get in the car. The boy said no and ran home.
Anyone with information is asked to call Watertown police at 860-945-5200.
