Lamont releases tax information

Democratic candidate for governor Ned Lamont released his tax information on Friday.
The information shows he earned nearly $19.5 million from 2013 to 2017, mostly from investment income. He paid $4.8 million in state and federal taxes during that time.
Last year, Lamont reported $0 in wages. He sold his main business in 2015.
Lamont donated almost $2.5 million to charity, including the Bridgeport school system. Another cause to which Lamont has paid millions is his own gubernatorial campaign.
Lamont's Republican opponent, Bob Stefanowski, is also wealthy, although it's not yet known just how rich he is. Stefanowski's campaign says his taxes are coming "very soon."
Independent candidate Oz Griebel released his returns weeks ago. He made just under $400,000 last year.
President Donald Trump's refusal to release his tax returns has stoked interest in the issue.
