Stamford Health hosts free event to teach people how to stay healthy

The seventh annual Health, Wellness and Sports Expo kicked off Saturday at Chelsea Piers.
More than 100 exhibitors displayed products, services and food to help get people of all ages energized.
The event was organized by Stamford Health and provided cardiac risk assessments, blood pressure screenings and a special workshop called "Stop the Bleed."
"It's learning about how to take care of your health," said event producer Tamara Ketler. "You can prevent any kind of potential health problem down the road."
Stamford Health also brought in a robotic surgical system to engage people and give them a firsthand look at certain medical advancements that are being made.
The free event continues through Sunday.
