A Trumbull business was paying it forward Wednesday to spread cheer to the community as part of a national event.
City Line Florist in Trumbull took part in 'petal it forward,' a day that is part of a national campaign from the Society of American Florists. Florists from across the country also took part in the day in an effort to spread smiles and random acts of kindness.
Workers from City Line Florist loaded up vans and helped hand out the flowers. The goal is to hand out two bouquets to someone and then have the person pass it to a friend, family member or stranger.
"This is our 100th year that we're celebrating," says Nicole Palazzo, of Country Line Florist.
This is the third year that City Florist took part in the day.
