Fairfield police say a man flashed a teenage girl Tuesday afternoon.
They say a 16-year-old girl was walking alone on Post Road when someone in a parked car exposed himself to her around 4:30 p.m.
The teen ran away and reported the incident to police.
Detectives say the man appeared to be in 30s. He was wearing a white sweater and sitting in a parked dark sedan, possibly a Ford Mustang.
The police school safety division lieutenant sent an email to parents of kids in the Fairfield school district, informing them of what occurred.
Police Chief Gary MacNamara says they are searching for the suspect.
Police are reviewing area security video to see if the incident was captured on camera.
They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
