Seniors in Stratford enjoy 'pickleball' for exercise

Posted: Updated:
STRATFORD -

Seniors at the Baldwin Senior Center in Stratford are getting their exercise in a unique way.

Pickleball, a sport becoming popular with seniors, combines badminton, tennis and ping pong.

Richard Astin, who's in his 70s and is a cancer survivor, says you don't have to be in shape and that anyone can play pickleball.

"It's good cardio for you, it's great for your reflexes," says Astin.

More information on pickleball at the Baldwin Senior Center can be found here.
