A motorcyclist and car crashed in Stratford Wednesday, police say.

The incident happened at the intersection of Honeyspot Road and Spada Boulevard near the exit 31 on ramp of I-95 around 8 a.m. 

Police say the motorcyclist  crashed into the car and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital in serious condition.

Investigators shut down the southbound side of Honeyspot Road as they determined the cause of the crash.

The road was later re-opened. 

Police say neither of the drivers are currently facing charges.
