Project Precious Rescue rehabilitates neglected dog

SHELTON -

A severely neglected dog is getting the care he needs.

Local veterinarians are working to rehabilitate an older stray dog named Jack, who was found at a home in Bloomfield last week by workers.

An organization called Project Precious Rescue says Jack has skin issues and a bacterial infection in his paws.

They say he cannot see well, and needs a second chance.

Project Precious Rescue says it is hoping Jack will be ready for adoption soon because he's craving affection.

The rescue center is asking for help with Jack's mounting medical expenses.
