Officials: 4 students suffer minor injuries in bus accident on way to Yale game
Four college students suffered minor injuries in a mid-morning bus accident on Saturday.
According to the West Haven Police Department, a coach bus carrying the students was exiting the I-95 northbound exit 43 ramp when it crossed the intersection without stopping and struck the property of Anderson Glass.
Officials say the bus was carrying students and others to the Princeton-Yale football game.
The students injured were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
News 12 is told that the driver was hospitalized.
University officials from the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students and many other departments say they are working to gather accurate information about what happened and to assist all those affected.
Family members seeking information on students should call the Department of Public Safety at 609-258-1000.
Exit 43 was reopened for traffic Saturday afternoon.
