Dozens of Norwalk neighbors gathered together Sunday to pay respect to veterans.
The ceremony took place at Norwalk City Hall and featured several tributes to veterans.
There was an hour long musical performance by the American Festival band, salutes from the Norwalk Police Department, and performances by the Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School Jr. Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs.
Attendees say they were thankful for the services veterans provide.
"It means just honoring everyone who’s served," says Jessia Alvarenga, a member of the Air Force Jr. ROTC. "I'm very honored to wear this uniform and be here today."
The event is a tradition in the community that people say they look forward to every year.
