Police investigated the area near Saugatuck Island after one car was stolen and at least two others were rummaged through early Tuesday.
It happened in the area of Harbor and Duck Pond roads just after midnight and police appeared to be patrolling the streets through the morning with K9s.
Officials say one car that was stolen out of Norwalk Friday was recovered in the area Tuesday.
Police believe the two suspects are men and say they likely drove that car to the neighborhood then ditched it before committing Tuesday's crimes.
Investigators say the stolen car and the burglarized cars were all unlocked.
Neighbors in the area say they are thankful the police are protecting them.
