A tree service is warning the early snowfall expected Thursday could cause weak branches to snap and fall on your property.
Many trees still have leaves on them and with the added weight of snow, employees with K&J tree service say branches and limbs could come down and damage property below.
Owner Rick Garner says the best way to prevent a weak tree or tree limb from coming down is to have a professional company come assess your property and tie down or secure any potential problem areas.
Although the snow Thursday is expected to turn to rain, Garner says the added weight could bring down branches.
"It's a lot of additional weight," says Garner. "It's more surface area for snow to stick to. You'll get a lot of tree failure or limb failure because the snow is sticking to the leaves and bringing things down."

He says his company focuses on preventative measures like taking down weak limbs, branches or dying trees.
