Teen arrested in connection to hit-and-run scooter crash

Police say a teen has been arrested in a hit-and-run scooter crash in Cedarhurst.
Yosef Soyonov, 17, of Cedarhurst, is facing a number of charges, including assault and reckless endangerment.
As News 12 has reported, Soyonov and another boy were caught on surveillance video riding on the scooter when they crashed into a man leaving a Chinese restaurant in September.
The man was the owner of the Wok Tov on Central Avenue and he suffered a serious leg injury.
Police say Soyonov and his passenger got back on their scooter and drove off.
