Police: 81-year-old pedestrian fatally struck by dump truck
An 81-year-old woman was hit and killed by a dump truck in Bay Shore.
Police say Gloria Prietto was walking on the south service road on Sunrise Highway near Redmond Avenue when she was struck Thursday.
The truck driver was not charged.
