A group home for disabled adults in Norwalk got a surprise makeover as part of Giving Tuesday.
Martin House was in need of some updated furniture, so volunteers delivered a new couch courtesy of a Stamford company called Lovesac. The volunteers helped assemble the furniture as part of doing 20 good things for the community before the end of the year.
"Lovesac is this little scrappy company that's grown up in Fairfield County, here in Stamford, from kind of nothing -- literally began in my parents' basement making these for friends," says Shawn Nelson, Lovesac founder.  "And we've grown into a business we can be proud of, but it's not without a ton of help from everyone along the way."
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that takes place the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
