Thousands of dollars’ worth of toys that were supposed to benefit Toys for Tots have been stolen in Bridgeport.
Four of the six Toys for Tots pods were taken from outside the Greater Bridgeport Christian Fellowship Church Saturday on Boston Avenue.
The pastor say two thieves broke into the pods and stole more than 800 toys, worth $7,000.
One of the thieves is said to have taken the toys and rode away on a bike.
They were supposed to be given out to 1,300 families in several weeks. That has been delayed.
The toys that were not stolen are now inside the church to be kept safe and secure.
