A man appeared to follow a UPS delivery truck before stealing a package off a porch in Fairfield, police say.
The incident happened on Nov. 30, in the area of Catamount Road around 3:30 p.m.
Police say the man was driving a two-door silver-colored sedan.
Police released an image of the suspect which was taken from the home's security surveillance camera.
They say he is also believed to be responsible for a package theft in Trumbull.
In a separate incident, police say another man was captured on a home surveillance camera in Dairen on Dec. 1, stealing a package from a house on Hollow Tree Ridge Road around 10 a.m.
Police say the suspect was driving a black Honda Civic.
Fairfield police say about 23 packages were reported stolen last year, while only eight packages have been reported stolen this year.
Police say they expect that number to increase during the holiday season.
