Daughter requests birthday cards for WWII veteran’s 96th birthday
The daughter of a World War II veteran is asking for people to mail him birthday cards for his 96th birthday.
Duane Sherman told his daughter that he didn't feel like celebrating his birthday this year.
To make him feel special, his daughter posted on Facebook to ask people to send him a card.
The veteran earned a Purple Heart for a mission he survived back in 1944 and has always loved getting mail.
If you want to wish Sherman a happy birthday or thank him for his service, you can send him a card at: c/o Sue Morse. P.O. Box 794. Highland Park, CA 92346.
