Mother’s sudden death leaves 3 children in need of support

BRIDGEPORT -

A Bridgeport church is coming together to help three children whose mother died last week.

The 36-year-old mother, Jessica Papp, had different medical conditions but Pastor Heron Gaston says her death came as a shock to everyone.

The Summerfield United Methodist Church is they trying to assist Papp’s three children.

News 12 is told that the family is now left without any means of support right in the middle of the holiday season.

"These kids have nothing, no food, no Christmas, they might be out in the street in a few weeks in January,” says Pastor Gaston. “So we're going to all different avenues. We don't know what to do."

Gaston says the funeral will take place sometime later this week
