The roof of a Norwalk home collapsed Wednesday after a fire broke out inside the attic, officials say.
The fire broke out at 4 Hill Top Road shortly after 6 a.m. and was knocked down quickly after.
Flames could be seen shooting from the roof near the chimney. Fire officials say the attic and the roof eventually collapsed
Officials say a local artist who lives inside the home and her pet dog were able to escape and were not injured.
There was smoke and water damage to the first and second floor, however fire crews were able to protect the paintings and other valuables some being priceless.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
