Multiple police departments in Connecticut say they dealt with bomb threats sent via email Thursday.
Organizations, schools and businesses in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Westport, Danbury and Newtown were among the towns that received the email trying to extort money in the from of bitcoin.
Bridgeport police responded to Horace Street around 2 p.m. Thursday after the anonymous email was received saying a bomb was in the building.
