Boys bake for a cause at Darien Youth Depot

DARIEN -

A group of students is spending their Saturday baking 50 pies to donate to one of the largest soup kitchens in Connections.

The students involved are members of Men Baking Pies, a group started a little over a year ago with the goal of feeding over 3,000 men, women and children in the area.

Darien Youth Depot provided facilities for the baking.

The boys say they hope the annual tradition will be passed down to younger students for years to come.

They say the pies will be donated to the Covenant Center in Stamford.
