BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport residents are asking for the public's help for a local bus driver who may soon be homeless.

Shere Askew is a single working mom who is facing foreclosure on her home.

Askew says she works hard to support her family, but fell behind on her mortgage payments after suffering a series of hardships.

Friends tell News 12 Askew is adored by the children she drives on her school bus, but the past few months have been rocky.

A fund has been established to help Askew save her home.
