Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez assured the public Thursday that an arrest will be made shortly in the drive-by shooting death of a 12-year-old boy.
Clinton Howell was outside his home on Willow Street Tuesday night when he was gunned down. Police say he was an unintended target of the drive-by shooting.
Perez says investigators are on the right track and will get justice for Clinton Howell's family.
“The investigation is going very well,” he says. “Our detectives have made a lot of progress and I believe we're on track to secure an arrest warrant for the person responsible for this incident.”
Police say evidence and witness interviews have provided them with a person of interest in the case.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help pay for the cost of Clinton's funeral.
