Officials from Bridgeport and Fairfield announced a partnership Thursday aimed at decreasing flooding in communities along the Rooster River.
The Rooster River travels from Fairfield though Bridgeport into Trumbull. It's prone to flooding after periods of heavy rain.
In late September, hundreds of homes in Bridgeport and Fairfield were flooded during a powerful rainstorm.
Officials say they are working on a long-term plan, but are waiting on funding.
