While new smartphones are a hot item on a lot of kids’ holiday wish lists, a Westport-based tech company is offering to keep kids’ phones safe.
Brad Miller, the CEO of Awareness Technologies in Westport, knows kids spend an awful lot of time on their phones.

"If you want me to buy you a phone and pay for your plan, you know it's my job to protect you," Miller says.

Miller's company offers two of the best parental control apps on the market.

The two apps are called 'Screen time' and 'Web Watcher.'
Screen time helps parents keep an eye on their kids’ screen use, and at the same time kids get rewarded for doing things like homework with additional screen time.
Web Watcher monitors any risky activity your kids may be looking at.
