83-year-old pedestrian struck by car, critically hurt

SHELTON -

An 83-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car in Shelton Friday.

Police and EMS crews responded to the scene on Howe Avenue at Grove Street around 5:30 p.m.

Police say the pedestrian, whose identity wasn't released, was in critical condition.

The traffic division is investigating the crash and is asking anyone who might have seen anything to call Shelton police.
