A Stratford teen has been chosen to compete in the largest football tournament held outside the U.S.
Isiah Smith will travel to Australia this summer to play in the 2019 Down Under Sports Tournament.
The 10th grader from Bridgeport's Capital Prep says he was selected to compete against international teams during games held on the Gold Coast last June.
Smith says a classmate from Capital Prep will join him for the games, which were founded in 1990 and also includes basketball, track and field and other sports.
